Students are provided lower division transfer classes for a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics/Family and Consumer Studies, and provide opportunities for developing skills and competencies for multiple roles of
home, family and career. Students are advised to check with a four-year college/university for specific requirements for transfer. This certificate will prepare students for an entry-level position in any of the
generalized fields of Family and Consumer Studies which include Child Development, Family & Consumer Studies, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Foods and Nutrition and Interior Design.
